An Introduction to Vedic Astrology
Sunday, 3 Aug, 2 - 4 PM, $5 contribution, please sign up by email, store sign-up, or call ahead.
Vedic Astrology is an ancient, comprehensive and holistic method of astrology, which is associated with the ancient scriptures of India - the Vedas. Vedic Astrology is often referred to as the 'Eye of Vedas' due to its extraordinary ability to 'see' into the past, present and future.
During this introductory class, we will briefly discuss the unique features of Vedic Astrology and the elements of a Vedic Astrology reading. Please join us for a free introduction to this ancient source of astrological wisdom.
Facilitator: Michael Vogt, Certified Instructor, American College of Vedic Astrology. Michael Vogt has been practicing Vedic Astrology for 19 years and is a founding member and tutor for the American College of Vedic Astrology.

Beginning Belly Dance
Wednesdays, new class starting Wed 6 Aug, 7-8pm; 6 weeks total cost $30
Join Sheila Robinson for 6 weeks to learn the basics! A fun and relaxed atmosphere allows you to explore the art of belly dancing. The course includes basic steps, walking and moving, turns, slides and other graceful movements.
With weekly reviews you can work your way to entrances and exits, shimmies, pops, locks as well as solo dance and simple group choreography. A complete course outline is available upon request.
Graduates will have the opportunity to show off their new skills at a local dancer restaurant, but this is not a must.
You will need a hip scarf and comfortable clothing. Suggested are exercise clothes like leggings and a body-fitting top.
Absolutely no experience needed, men and women of all ages are welcome.

This group was formed in June, 2007 for the purpose of providing a supportive place for women to gather and share their spiritual paths. Every month a member volunteers to provide a presentation or craft project or simply plans a potluck or other activity for the group's participation. Basic format of meetings: We begin with a grounding and centering exercise, brief introductions, the presentation is given and then we share a snack and enjoy getting to know one another.
