Mateyo will demonstrate her popular Peruvian Shamanic Healing techniques on volunteers, lecturing as she goes. Topics will include:
Mateyo's training;
the healer's preparation;
opening and closing your aura;
kawach, or psychic vision;
the mesa, home of kuyllas, or living stones, the toolkit of the shaman;
sound healing;
use of the camay and plant waters;
the interaction of heavy energy, luminous threads, and feathers;
what you can do to repair your aura;
and more as required.
Since the most profound work is done within a circle of coherent, loving energy, if needed the audience will be instructed in "holding space" for the healees. The circle will open midway through the session so people may come and go at that time. All ages and abilities welcome; those in need of healing are especially encouraged to come.
Mateyo is also available for individual sessions (at an additional charge ) for those who prefer privacy rather than group work. Just call ahead for an appointment. You must hold your space with a $25 downpayment due to limited available time.

Join Sheila for 6 weeks to learn the basics! A fun and relaxed atmosphere allows you to explore the art of belly dancing. The course includes basic steps, walking and moving, turns, slides and other graceful movements. With weekly reviews you can work your way to entrances and exits, shimmies, pops, locks as well as solo dance and simple group choreography. A complete course outline is available upon request.
Graduates will have the opportunity to show off their new skills at a local dancer restaurant, but this is not a must.
You will need a hip scarf and comfortable clothing. Suggested are exercise clothes like leggings and a body-fitting top.

This group was formed in June, 2007 for the purpose of providing a supportive place for women to gather and share their spiritual paths. Every month a member volunteers to provide a presentation or craft project or simply plans a potluck or other activity for the group's participation. Basic format of meetings: We begin with a grounding and centering exercise, brief introductions, the presentation is given and then we share a snack and enjoy getting to know one another.
